Fundraising
The primary function of the Kyoto Twist Solar Cooking Society is to raise money to support already existing solar cooker projects in the developing world. The ideas below are a few ways you might help us gather resources to help families while helping the environment.
Ways to participate:
- Organize a fundraiser. We can provide a speaker with expertise in the
solar cooker movement and the Kyoto Accord.
- Promote the idea of becoming “Carbon Neutral”.
Request that a particular event, conference or festival become “carbon
neutral” by
purchasing solar cookers as a way to offset the emissions created by their
activities.
- Organize an event. Ask your group of friends, environmental organization,
church, synagogue, mosque, or other social circle or civic group to contribute
to one or more families receiving a solar cooker.
- Donate to the Kyoto Twist Solar Cooking Society. You can make a real and lasting difference in a family’s ability to support itself. You can offset your own or your family’s carbon footprint. Please feel free to write or email us to answer any questions or discuss your ideas for giving or fundraising.
Save a tonne, Save a life.
